A battery health check is a diagnostic assessment that measures the condition and performance of an electric vehicle's (EV's) battery. Since the battery is one of the most valuable and essential components of an EV, this check helps determine how well it holds a charge and how much capacity it has lost over time.
What's included in a battery health check:
- State of Health (SoH): This shows how much of the battery's original capacity remains (e.g., 90% means 10% degradation).
- State of Charge (SoC): Indicates the current charge level of the battery.
- Charging efficiency: Evaluates how quickly and effectively the battery charges.
- Thermal performance: Ensures the battery is not overheating and is functioning within safe temperature ranges.
- Cell balance: Checks if all battery cells are working evenly to prevent performance issues.
Battery health checks are crucial for buyers and sellers, as they provide transparency, build confidence, and help forecast long-term performance and resale value. At EV Marketplace, we perform these checks on every vehicle so our customers know they're getting an EV they can rely on.
All cars come with a 3 Pin Domestic charger.

Fastest charging, High power charging stations for rapid charging, typically found on motorways.
At this level charging can typically get you to 80% charge in 30 minutes. We advise always checking the vehicles manual for charging recommendations to ensure the best quality and longevity of your vehicle's battery.
